Samsung 28 4k U28e510d
Faulty Power Source
First, make sure that your surge protector or UPS has power, you can test the surge protector or UPS by connecting it to another outlet. Make sure to plug the monitor power cord firmly into both the monitor and the surge protector or UPS. If this is unsuccessful, troubleshoot the power cord by replacing it with a known working cord. If the monitor powers on, replace the defective cord.
Blinking Power LED But No Images Appear On Screen
The blinking LED indicator says the monitor is on and yet no images are appearing on my screen.
Sleep Mode
The monitor could simply be in sleep mode. Depress the mouse or keyboard buttons to get out of sleep mode.
Incorrect Input Selected
Restart the monitor and use the job button to select the appropriate input. Ensure that your display cable is connected to both the monitor and your output device.
Damaged Display Cable
A damaged or dead display cable will not allow a signal to be sent from the device to the monitor. Double-check that your display settings on the output device are set for the correct output method (DisplayPort or HDMI), and use a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable that you know works on other devices. If you do not have access to a replacement display cable, turn the monitor off and remove the display cable. Test the current cable on other devices to confirm the functional status of the cable.
Outdated Display Driver
An older display driver can present compatibility issues between the graphics card and the monitor. Ensure that both your Samsung monitor drivers and graphics card drivers are up to date. Samsung updates can be found here.
Faulty Motherboard
Conduct a Samsung Monitor Self Test. If the test fails, your motherboard may be faulty. Follow this guide for instructions on how to replace your Samsung U28E510 motherboard.
Monitor Turns Off And On Repeatedly/Shuts Off
Monitor keeps turning on and off again and randomly shuts off.
Loose Power Cable
The power cable could be loose at either end of the cable. To fix this, the power cable should be plugged into the wall and monitor firmly.
Irregular Power Source
The actual power source could also be causing the issue. The power outlet should be checked by plugging in another device into the outlet. If the device receives power in intervals, then the problem is the outlet and the monitor should be plugged into a different outlet. If the monitor is still having these issues, then a Samsung Online Service Request should be made

Check the PC's resolution. You can do so in the 'Control Panel'. The maximum resolution of the monitor is 4K (3840x2160).
Incorrect Refresh Rate
Under Monitor Settings in the Control Panel, you can also check the refresh rate, which should be 60Hz for a 4K resolution.
Incompatible Input Cable
Check the cable by disconnecting it and reconnecting it securely to both the external device and the back of the monitor.
